Sunday inspiration

Monday dawn, already.
It´s been a week since I last wrote on my blog, so I think it´s time for a second entry.

Things I´ve learned throughout the past week:
-12 years of learning English is not enough to know all the idioms GMAT requires
-Reading Comprehension can be quite tricky
-I was born mastering critical reasoning
-I´m better at maths than at English!
-About 70% of the MBA students are male
-When one of the options of the multiple choice "rings a bell", then it´s not the correct one
-"Practise makes perfect"...and even perfect is not equal to an 800 score in GMAT (lol)

Tuesday is my last class, and the GMAT course I attend will be over. From then on...it´s up to me..
My goal is to score more than 700 at GMAT.
My tactic is to study at least 3 hours a day until the end of October.
My strategy is to learn all the necessary formulas, rules and tips and only then train the rithm, by timing myself and improving it day by day.
Having said so....the words tactic and strategy reminded me of a poem I would like to share with you. It´s in spanish, and I won´t translate it so it keeps its intrinsic beauty.

Don´t miss your opportunity to listen Mario Benedetti reciting the poem:

1st message

Hi everyone!
I have just arrived home, from the movies. I went with my boyfriend to watch "Julie and Julia". Besides from my adoration for Meryl Streep, I found the movie quite inspiring; and whilst leaving the theater I thought...Why not creating my own blog?! It might be some way liberating to share the effort of preparing for an MBA...all that pain that begins with the training for the GMAT...until who knows...achieving the diploma! And moreover, it might be helpful for others who go through the same process, maybe even years after me. So here I am, trying to write something for myself..probably for the first time. To be honest I am new in the "blogger world". So with a little luck, someone might be interested. Fingers crossed! See you tomorrow, I must do my homewok and finish all the excercises on the official GMAT guide...
